Oxfordshire Economic Partnership Key Achievements
  • Oxfordshire Economic Partnership produced on behalf of the whole county the Economic Development Strategy for Oxfordshire. This has been endorsed by all key partners and extensively fed into the LAA Economy and Enterprise block, which in turn now acts as the implementation plan for significant parts of the Strategy.
  • Oxfordshire Economic partnership successfully bid for LSC funding to investigate the feasibility of developing a learning forum in Oxfordshire to take a strategic lead in learning and skills.
  • With LSC funding, OEP led on the developed a web portal to enable business to more easily engage with education at schools and colleges.
  • The OEP provides, through the Economic Observatory a quarterly update on the state of Oxfordshire's economy.
  • High profile annual dinner engaging with senior business people from across Oxfordshire. Guest speaker Sir William Stubbs, Chairman of the local NHS Trust led the table discussions on healthcare and the economy.
  • The OEP brought together key tourism agencies and attractions in Oxfordshire with a dinner, hosted by Blenheim Palace. There was a clear desire to engage in better working.
  • Continued to enable better understanding and more efficient working in economic development across Oxfordshire, working in partnership.
