- Coordination of strategic economic development across the County of East Sussex. This includes bringing into one place; the co-ordination of SEEDA devolved programmes in the County (ES AIF and SRTP), Locate East Sussex as the investment service for the County; and Broadband East Sussex; maximising the strategic impact and ensures efficiency of strategic delivery.
- The only body to bring County, Districts, Boroughs, LSC, Voluntary sector, Education, Regeneration Partnerships and Private Sector together across East Sussex
- Creation of Business Leadership Team comprising CEO's and MD's from key influential companies within the County, a strategic voice for key and significant employers
- Using the Task Groups as an effective approach to Partnership engagement and agreement, and to inform, debate and seek to influence future policy and implementation.
- Working with Partners across the county on South East Coastal Strategy; South East Plan; and South East Rural Strategy to ensure they meet the needs of the County.
- Support the implementation of the new Regional Economic Strategy by refreshing and revising the East Sussex countywide Economic Development Strategy ensuring it meets the RES and also that it is fit for purpose for the County
- The creation of a Priority Sites Strategy - to inform and influence future site development in the county;
- Active member of the Regional Transport Board, and the South East England Regional Assembly
- Supported the development of the Eastbourne and Hailsham Blueprint setting out the future economic development potential and needs to support the growth of this key area within the county.
